This week Josh challenged us by asking if we are ready to receive what the Lord wants to give us.

The Lord has shown us what He wants to do through prophetic dreams and we must prepare ourselves for it. The foundations we lay today determine the quality of the house that is built. And the roots we establish now determine the strength of the tree that will grow. God's intention in both of these analogies is that we be a refuge to those who would come to us, but we must be prepared.

This week meditate and pray on the following questions and fast in whatever way seems best to you in order to seek the Lord for wisdom and answers.

1. Am I depending on the Lord for wisdom by seeking Him in the scriptures? What place am I giving His word in my life? What changes would He have me make?

2. Where am I finding places of solitude and silence to hear His voice? How can I create space for these practices regularly?

3. What place does fasting have in my life? Would the Lord have me change my attitude and relationship to fasting? How can I use fasting in my life to better seek the Lord?
